Your Saturn-Neptune Itinerary for the Rest of 2026
Saturn-Neptune! Talk about an oxymoron. We’ve had six months to metabolize the impact of this transit through Aries. So, how is everyone doing so far?
You’re reading WOODRUFF. I cover the convergence of pop culture, psychology, and astrology. Join my entourage of subscribers—you’ve been missed. My bio is here.
Note: This is a gift post I’m making available to all subscribers of WOODRUFF. Believe it or not (a very Saturn/Neptune remark), these two titans—Saturn and Neptune—are still locked within a 10-degree orb of each other in Aries. We’ve had six months to metabolize the impact of this conjunction and transit. So, how is everyone doing so far?
IF YOU SPENT THE LAST FEW MONTHS of 2025 listening to hundreds of astrologers tell you what to expect from this transit, well, you missed the mission. When Saturn and Neptune come together in a self-assertive sign like Aries, the lesson is to construct (Saturn) the prophecies (Neptune) on your own (Aries).
Observing the chaotic convulsions within the world right now, one can’t help but ponder: Where is all the dissonance heading? But as Herman Hesse once wrote,
“Chaos demands to be recognized and experienced before letting itself be converted into a new order.”
And, with zero degrees Aries as the catalytic zone (where this conjunction landed in February of this year), you can count on the never-before-experienced to be experienced. Zero degrees of the start of the Zodiac is the nascent of the nascent. The Zodiac’s unique koan.
Still, I thought I’d take a swipe at channeling some impressions for each sign. Here are some downloads, quick hits, and unfiltered views to contemplate. It’s the teasing out and parsing of all the impressions that readies your imagination for the upcoming era. Try this yourself with the keywords or phrases that I’ve offered at the top of each reading. Reflect on the phrase and ask yourself what you associate with the various themes.
ARIES:
Keywords:
Boundaries and balance
Introspection vs. connection
Inspirational discipline
Vision into form
Patience with process
The Ram is part of one of the most famous odysseys in mythology, Jason, and the Argonauts. That tale includes the Medusa, the Kraken, a hero, a beautiful princess, and Pegasus, the winged horse. You’ll be touched by each of those archetypes as 2026 progresses. You’re about to engage in an epic trek that turns the inexplicable into the discernible. The necessity to ground your creativity and leadership skills forces you to reevaluate the key relationships in your life. Striking a balance between time alone and time with others becomes a necessity. A maturation process is underway, one that blends the imaginal with the discipline required to bring ideas to fruition. Get kraken!
TAURUS:
Shadow work
Acceptance of the unknowable
Courageous confrontation
Liberation from repetition
Streamlining complexity
What a wild fucking seven years it has been. But until late May of 2026 arrived and Uranus released you from its force field, the start of the year probably felt like a long reassessment exercise. Plan to do some heavy-duty psychological sleuthing. You’ve endured a long learning curve that forced you to confront insecurity and submission. Said another way, you learned firsthand that some aspects of life aren’t ever knowable, and they certainly aren’t controllable. For optimal progress through the year, make a commitment to confront habits and repetitive routines that limit your ability to discover new people and pastimes. An opportunity is here to streamline all the complexities in your life.
GEMINI:
Grounded ambition
Spirit–matter integration
Mentorship and guidance
Collaborative support
Minimizing friction
There are two key themes in play for you in the first half of 2026. The first involves the Promethean energy that’s preparing to energize your intellect and imagination. While the second is making a promise to adopt a realistic approach toward your goals. Meditate on the notion that spirit and matter are not separate experiences of reality. You have a natural bent for discovering polarities in all aspects of life, but now it’s all about synthesis. Bring outside assistance to help anchor you to the most realistic path forward: a wise friend, a skilled instructor (or savvy accountant) can assist you in getting where you want to go with minimal frustration.
CANCER:
Domestic discipline
Decluttering (physical and emotional)
Financial reality check
Inner calm through outer order
Inspiration through stability
It’s the oldest cliché in astrology: Cancers and their preternatural bonding with their domains. But with good reason. As the conjunction squared your sign, you most likely confronted slimming down excess in your environment. Continue to minimize all forms of clutter. In doing this, you consciously move energy around. By setting stuff ‘free,’ you make way for the inrush of inspiration that hits you during the summer. Be realistic regarding your finances. Budgets work because Saturn rewards those who exercise frugality when it’s called for. Rearrange space, paint walls, and move a bunch of plants (nature) into your home. Setting up environmental harmony and balance will sustain your creative work through the year.
LEO:
Independence from approval
Discernment in feedback
Strategic self-promotion
Refinement of message
Confidence with restraint
Leos are often caught in a recurring dilemma. You crave recognition but fear being considered self-absorbed. But you need to get over that standoff. Own your desire to shine. Are you continuing to widen your influence in 2026? Good, that’s the right solution! You’re gradually leading up to the ‘reveal’ of an important project. You might feel frustrated if you depend too much on others and their support. Ask yourself if you can forge a new path that isn’t dependent on approval. If you feel feedback is necessary, be discerning about whom you invite to assess your assignment. See if you can find a middle zone between self-promotion and rethinking what you’re attempting to share.
VIRGO:
Social re-engagement
Relationship reassessment
Personal confidence injection
Effective communication
Who stays and who goes?
You know that brand-new feeling that occurs after you emerge from a bad cold or flu: revitalization and an eagerness to return to the world of the living. Well, that quality of freshness is ready to emerge as Saturn moves out of the opposition to your Sun. Oddly, this contrast could make existing, long-term relationships feel stale. Use your keen sense of discernment to reassess who is going to stay and who will go in the year ahead. You’re interested in wielding influence now! You’ve figured out the mechanics of how things need to work for you. Forge new connections by pushing beyond your innate shyness. And if you’re partnered already, speak with your mate about your needs rather than expecting them to read your mind.
LIBRA:
Unconscious guidance
Dreams as messengers
The power of omens
Trusting inner wisdom
Views from the threshold
Much of your creative energy is invested into the intricacies of interpersonal relationships. Great! That means you’ll be well prepared to maneuver the building pressure that will define all of 2026 for you. But then, are you really as dependent on others as you think? Come the summer, you’ll know the answer to that question. Beneath the surface of conscious thought, subtle signals are gathering, forging a map of the direction ahead. To receive this insight, soften your judgments and assume a ‘who knows’ attitude. Be willing to risk. Pay attention to your dreams and to the places your mind drifts when unguarded. It’s within the nocturnal that a new kind of guidance is being activated.
SCORPIO:
Lowering the volume
Commitment—not more reflection
Not looking back
Picking up the pieces
The shock of the new
You are presently poised between two distinct worlds. Look behind you, and you’ll be surveying the rubble of the past seven years. Look forward, and there’s a parade of new possibilities and opportunities waiting to gain traction—like a light show ready to be plugged into the mainframe. Liberation is buzzing in the air now. Uranus—the disruptor—finally exited its seven-year-long opposition to your sign in May of this year. You’ll be like a genie released from a bottle. But assuming your new path forward requires a firm commitment to relinquish the past. Do all of your reminiscing and reassessments during the first half of the year; come summer, there should be no looking back.
SAGITTARIUS:
Identity restructuring
Bardo spectacle
Redesigned ideals
Dream field transmissions
Visionary awakening
The image of yourself that is most familiar and secure is about to enter a protracted—seven years to be exact—phase of restructuring and release. Consider it a philosophical overhaul. You might feel lodged between two worlds throughout the year. Translated: Your unconscious—that part within each of us that contains everything that is unknown—is ready to establish a solid link with your ‘everyday’ mind. Make way for instructions that arrive from the liminal. Saturn and Neptune in harmonious flow with your Sun impart an ease and felicity to the year; you seem to be at the right place at the right time as you move about your life.
CAPRICORN:
Solitude as fuel
The hidden goes public
Monitoring output
Environmental pressure
Rising energy reserves
You relish the peace of mind that solitude allows. Winter stimulates a sacred response that matches your self-contained and deliberate nature. But as spring approached this year, the need to reassert yourself back into your community was strong. And come summer, a type of soul-necessity overwhelms your attention; there’s a distinct sense that something is missing regarding family and friends. This might feel disruptive to your preferred pace and rhythm, but to ignore your social instinct means you’ll miss key opportunities. You’re being forced to see the importance of actively sharing your creative and organizational gifts with the world. Satisfaction this year resides in showing, not telling.
AQUARIUS:
Clearing out deadwood
Confidence tested, not broken
What’s hidden claims the center
Power to the people
Honor the past and then recycle it
Life requires that you step forward and help the rest of us come to terms with the extreme upheaval and remaking of the world. Pluto, in your sign for a long haul, requires that you embrace the arduous process of removing deadwood. This also calls forth a form of diligence and patience that isn’t easily anchored. You can expect this to challenge your self-confidence. That’s OK. When we proceed despite our apprehension, we develop a courage and faith that is life-sustaining. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction, as it involves your ruler, is being channeled directly through your nervous system. Your presence can channel in a literal way how this is expressed creatively.
PISCES:
Softened by pressure
The payoff
Home of the free
Released wisdom
Mature trust
During February of this year, Saturn and Neptune finally transited beyond your sign. Congratulations! Reviewing the past couple of years, you’ll see that commitment and discipline won the day for you. Now, you can consider those skill sets as a permanent part of your nature. The second half of this year will have an air of ease about it, as your innate trust in ‘higher powers’ is restored. Too, you’re ready to return to the free-flowing nature of your imagination. Use this new era to forge surprising creative breakthroughs, ways of expressing yourself that are new to you. Experiment. Be willing to put skin in the game. And win!
Love,
