IMHO it was a display of the decaying patriarchal worst of the worse toxic masculinity replete with half naked women and the glorification of violence...also the youthful men's fighter's bodies in comparison to Trump's deterioration was not subtle.
The contrasts between his birthday bash and The celebration of the Obama Presidential Library! The great variety of music! The speeches, all the Ex Presidents together, the Family, all the close people from Obama’s White House Teams sitting and dancing together!!!
In the interest of preserving what remains of my sanity, I did not watch the cage match. But if you wanna see cute guys in great physical shape I recommend soccer and basketball. (Too bad the basketball season is over.)
It's crazy because the worse things look at the level of "government", it seems the better they look on the level of humanity. What I'm seeing is that there's some kind of fierce insistence on people being psyched about humanity and I think the World Cup is a great place to notice this because of its international focus. What's happening in NYC is also in that vein. Sure it's in the USA, but it's so much more inclusive of the international largesse that can at times be found in this country that has been suppressed during the Trump years that it's kind of bursting out. Again triggered by "sports".
