So much more in here than a mere comment on astrology in the rabble babble idiocy of nowsville -- you redeem so very much in this world, Mr. Woodruff. Seriously.
I loved this. My friends and I were just discussing (and comparing) all of the awful astrology content we run across on YouTube and social media. It really is like a fortune cookie factory exploded. ACK..
Here for it, dude. It's so true. After an excruciating week, when recognizing anything worth remembering seemed hard to come by, reading this (as pretty much always happens when I read your work) I remembered what it's like to feel among the wise and the worthy... Always learn something and appreciate the gentle sword of incisive humor - every. single. time.
Can anyone here think of (or does astrology provide) a viable path to collectively escape from the clutches of this social media internet "idiocy of nowsville" (awesome phrase) and give over our collective attentiveness to those who have earned it? Just curious. :)
Great question. A lot depends on sincerity — and an interest in making a concerted effort to push beyond hype and magical thinking. The latter seems to be rare in the astro field.
Yes! And in general. But it’s just so much more nourishing to live a semi-contemplative life offline (not entirely, but just divorced from the gushing mania.) I just find myself circling and circling around this question, as it’s at the epicenter of most of our other metastasizing problems.
I've left a pair of comp tickets in your name at the box office. My partner composed this thing to my adaptation. It's a bit of fluff but might amuse you. Not much to hang an evening on, but everyone loves Julia and chocolate. the cake's quite good if they follow the recipe. Best wishes, M
Beautifully stated John. Appreciate your view.

Victoria — I need you as my PR manager! 🤓 Thank you for your uplifting words. ♥️

Truth!
Glad you enjoyed Marie. ♥️

"enantiodromia (switching of opposites)" this is one of the reasonsI love reading your posts, letters, missives 🥰
There is definitely a lot of whackadoodle astrology information available. Tarot seems to be having a "moment" on the interwebs too.
It can be frustrating sifting through all "soul mate, perfect health, fabulous wealth" crap to find information that makes sense.
Thank you for being an island of sense and fun!
♥️
Enantiodromia, one of Jung’s favorite terms. Look it up for a more full-bodied alchemical experience/understanding.
Thank you for writing this, and thank you for your work.
