AS SATURN IS PRIMED to start a two-plus-year transit of Aries—now’s the time to contemplate how the planet shifting into a new element will resonate with your natal Saturn. I’m going to run these ideas and possibilities through the Golden Dawn’s alchemical teachings on the elements. How seemingly opposite or discordant elements interact with and then transform each other. In this schema, the Fire element is in union with the Water element, which creates the Air element—as a set of solutions to reconcile those adversaries. The airy harmonization of Fire and Water eventually creates something ‘tangible’ within the world of the Earth element. Something you can see, touch, hear, feel, taste through the senses. No longer ideas, feelings or forces but tangible some’things.’ But this requires objectivity and dis-identification to achieve it.
Saturn transits ask us, “What are you hoping to accomplish?” I mean, like, right now? Another way to phrase that would be: What’s struggling to be born? Check Saturn’s transit on your wheel, and there’s the paramount take-away from your day-to-day operating manual. If Saturn is transiting a natal planet, you’ll need to find a way to incorporate that planet into your strategy. You can’t skip it. Is Venus involved? Brush up on your social skills, your diplomacy. Check your wardrobe, are you dressing like a peasant? Ain’t gonna work.
