Also, I have been (in my head) screaming from the rafters that the cloud is a hot box sucking the life out of us on earth! I do not use the ‘cloud’ unless I absolutely have to. My backup sits on my desk. I control the horizontal and the vertical (get it😬). My photos are in my house! So are my financial records, all my docs on my Mac are back up on my desk. Not a ‘cloud’. Fuck that. People may come to regret using the cloud with their very personal data and memories. But I digress.
Transition is part of the birthing process, where the contractions from a passive flow of dilating change to allow the more active stage of pushing. It is when women need the most encouragement to move on, to progress. Jessica analogy is downright perfect. When the Occupy was being created there was an expansion of our awarness, so many divergent activist under a same banner. The "powers that be" were dirisive of the flower children's innocence kind of like what doctors often do to women in childbirth. "You can't manage without our technology" Now we are pushing! And to riff on your talking points this stage is the most dangerous and at the same time our strenght can multiply.

Is what is happening now in the power bases that you two focus on the start of the 20 year cycle, or is there a collective response to it that is emergent? Are we in an amplification process or leaning toward enantiodromia? Gasping, I await part 2.
